As we transition into the winter months please be aware that we will be subject to frost delays, shorter hours, limited food and beverage options (mostly snacks). When weather conditions look less than promising, we may choose to close the course for a day or a few rather than staff unreasonably. The 2023 season membership forms are available in the clubhouse and on this website for download. Day to day condition and course information is most readily available on our facebook page found at Facebook.com/airwaysgolf .

The 2022 season has begun. Although we have been open the wet conditions have been keeping us on cart paths only this spring. We are hoping the next few weeks will improve things. Leagues will soon be starting and days will get longer. As many of you know Ed Mele passed away this winter so the kitchen will be under new management. We look forward to new ideas coming. If you are in a league please touch base with your leaders to confirm starting times and your position in league. We anticipate a great season and look forward to seeing all of you out on the course!
Please see post below with good recommendations for winter play and hours.
Basically call ahead. We welcome you back for the 2021 season! Winter seemed so long this year.
Please check out the rate changes on our golf page with coupons at the bottom of that page. Ed Mele who ran a very limited menu in our food and beverage section last year is returning with expanded menu options. There is a menu posted at the 7th tee where you can call and pre order for pickup at the turn. Beverage cart will soon be out during peak play. Masks are still required in the clubhouse and social distancing should still be practiced. Please remember to check our Facebook page www.facebook.com/airwaysgolf for the most up to date course news and condition changes. We look forward to seeing you soon! During the winter months our clubhouse hours and play schedule will be driven by weather. We will try to keep you updated on play availability on our facebook page found at www.facebook.com/airwaysgolf A good rule of thumb is to check there or call before coming. If you are trying to make a tee time please leave a message and we will return the call when someone returns to the clubhouse. The superintendent will post when things are are changing as much as possible. Please understand that playing conditions and weather may be different than at your own location and that conditions improve and decline during each day. We thank you for your patience and understanding.
Our food and beverage concession is now operating with a limited menu and many beverage choices!! We continue to operate under Covid 19 restrictions. Must put on a mask to enter the clubhouse. Restroom facilities are available. We ask that you practice social distancing to help insure the safety of both our clientele and staff. Tee times are always recommended. Still 1 player per cart unless you are from the same household or you wear a mask while in the cart. We hope you are all keeping safe and have enjoyed seeing old fiends and many new ones.
While we are operating during these trying times please try to think ahead and follow the rules posted. Please be prepared to pay by phone from the parking lot once you have arrived. If possible arrange for one person in your group to pay as phone transactions are time consuming for all involved. If you need info on the course print a copy of the scorecard on this website(found under the golf tab). Rates are as posted on the same page. During the 1 person per cart protocol carts may be in short supply. 1 per cart will be enforced. Remember that this is still very early in the season and wet conditions still prevail. If we have cart restrictions they are to protect the course. There are not exceptions to these rules at this time. If found not obeying the rules you will be stripped of the key and asked to walk. Thank you for your help in staying open by obeying the many rules during COVID-19 protocol restrictions.
We will be opening the course with restrictions as allowed by CT-DECP Friday March 27th we will start with opening the original 9 holes. If we all can abide by these guidelines and practice common sense, we may continue to operate during this trying time. The following protocol will be followed in order to stem the spread and still allow recreational golf. Please read and agree to follow these rules. Effective immediately golf course will be closed. In order to stem the spread of COVID 19 we will be adhering to the governors appeal. Golf and clubhouse operations will be stopped until further notice. Hopefully if we can slow the virus spreading, the CDC and medical professionals will be given time to enact safeguards to ensure our best solution to handling this pandemic. Jon Case and a limited grounds crew will be allowed to maintain the golf course in order to facilitate our reopening as soon as we are safe. Please respect the closing of the course, Keep yourselves and your families safe. As the clubhouse is closed, if you need to contact the course you can call the 860-668-4973 number and they will check messages remotely. Please stay safe and we hope to see all of you soon!!!!
Our season membership rates will hold the same for 2020 but we have had to slightly increase our daily rates for the coming season. We still pride ourselves on being one of the most reasonable courses to play in the region. If you have considered membership in the past, and you play regularly, you might want to redo the math.
Now is also the time to consider joining a league for the coming season. League play can help boost your consistency and create new relationships on and off the course. We have leagues playing Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday(ladies) mornings as well as Monday thru Friday evenings (wed. night has a ladies league among others). Most leagues are accepting new players. Please call the golf course and we can put you in touch with the appropriate contacts. |
